Virtual Photo Walks at Yosemite Falls, 2425 feet top 20 highest falls.

Yosemite Falls, Yosemite National Park. At 2425 feet high, Yosemite falls are among the top 20 highest falls in the world. They are awe inspiring! Cover photo by Ali Elhajj According to wikipedia, the Ahwahneechee people called the waterfall "Cholock" ("the fall") and believed the plunge pool at its base was inhabited by the spirits of several witches, called the Poloti. An Ahwaneechee folktale describes a woman going to fetch a pail of water from the pool, and drawing it out full of snakes. Later that night, after the woman had trespassed into their territory, the spirits caused the woman's house to be sucked into the pool by a powerful wind, taking the woman and her newborn baby with it. Virtual Photo Walks is a cause that uses smart phones and video conferencing to enable people isolated by illness or disability to travel the world in real time. Our hope is through our efforts, we can make a difference in people's lives.
